You're learning how important you are,
How important each person you see can be.
Discovering each one's specialty,
Is the most important learning.
~Mister Rogers from the song, "I'm Proud of You"
Our special presenters continue with Wildlife Ambassadors! The show is on July 3rd at 10:30AM and is free and open to the public. The ambassadors help audiences get up close and personal with amazing animals from around the world and learn about their habitats. The animals in the program are non-releasable wildlife, unwanted pets, and captive bred educational animals.
In fact, it shouldn't.
Children who don't read during the summer can lose up to two months of learning by the time they return to school in the fall, according to the iREAD Reading Program. This loss is referred to as the "summer slide."
Music and storytimes may just be the perfect early literacy match!
Do you dare to dance, love to prance?
To jump and twirl or glide?
Can you sway and spin throughout the day,
'til you collapse at eventide?
If so, head over to storytimes this week at the Handley Regional Library System for some toe-tapping stories that will make you want to put on your dancing shoes!

For many years now the Bowman Library has hosted a Game Night for the teens in our community, offering everything from Xbox gaming, to Apples to Apples, and Virtual Reality headsets. Though we're excited to offer a safe place for teens to meet once a month, we recognize the love of games many of our younger patrons have.
