Pollination is a process that transfers genetic material so a plant can reproduce. Why should we care about pollination? Plant reproduction involves the production of seeds, and some of those seeds are inside fruits like apples, cherries and peaches. Did I mention that strawberries, blueberries, chocolate, and coffee depend on pollinators too? It is estimated that 2/3 of crop species world-wide depend upon pollinators!
Even though we have all been stuck at home for a few months, fitness and staying healthy has never been more important. It gets your endorphins going and is a great way to relieve any extra anxiety brought on by the pandemic. There are so many things that you can do at home with no equipment simply using your own body weight. Our digital material collection contains many fitness books, videos, and more that can you help you get started at home. I included some fitness books and videos below that can get you started in many different fitness styles right from home.
We are excited to announce Storytime Grab-and-Go Kits designed for kids 6 and under. The interactive kits include extension activities that go with library storytime themes packed with extra rhymes, songs, stories, and craft ideas. New kits are released every week and supplies are limited with 1-kit per family each week with curbside pick-up via appointment.

John Bruce (1793-1855) was a man who spent over twenty years of his life finding ways to make an impact on his community. He was born in Scotland, but emigrated to the United States and settled in Winchester. Some people make impacts through teaching and preaching, some through caring for people’s well-being, but others find that they are best suited to improving the community through other means, as John Bruce did by overseeing various constructions.
If you and your family are wanting to read more diverse books with a central theme around Social Justice Education, then look no further than your local public library! We've compiled a list of books for Elementary, Middle School, and High School readers. You can find these books in our library catalog here and/or in our digital library in Hoopla here. All you need is a library card!
