At the end of each season, the staff (and puppets!) take a brief break from storytimes as we prepare for the next exciting set of storytime themes. Meanwhile, we welcome all of our pint sized participants to keep heading over to the library each week to enjoy some informal play times with blocks and other activities!
Launchpad tablets are now available for checkout at all 3 library locations. Designed for kids of all ages, the tablets are pre-loaded with high-quality, ad-free apps that are both fun and educational, promoting literacy through digital content. The devices are powered by an Android operating system and feature a 7” high-definition touch screen

This week the Handley Regional Library System will take a look at Musical Instruments! Come on in this week to our storytimes at Bowman, Clarke County, or Handley for some musical book fun, then attend the Instrument Petting Zoo at Handley Library on February 16th at 2:00 pm.
Parents have been interacting with their young children through finger plays and bounces for centuries. Many of them have been handed down throughout the generations, and the pig seems to take center stage in quite a few!
We’ll be celebrating the Chinese New Year this week on February 5th at 5:00 PM at the Bowman Library. It’s the year of the PIG!
