SCOPE AND CONTENT:  This collection contains articles, newsletters, advertisements, and a brief history of the National Fruit Product Company.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL:  Founded in 1908 in Alexandria, VA, National Fruit Product Company moved to Winchester, VA in 1915 to be closer to an apple producing area.  The company, owned  and operated by the Armstrong family until 2006 when it was sold to the Gum family, has grown to become one of the largest producers of apple related products in the world producing 12 different varieties of fruit products in six plants throughout the United States.  The company’s headquarters are still in Winchester, VA.
