SCOPE AND CONTENT: This Boyd R. Richards & Company Records contains a shipping ledger for Dan Wuille & Company, 1927-1932, by their agents Boyd R. Richards & Company of Winchester, Virginia. The ledger records the shipments of apples mostly by railroad and steamship to Europe.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: Boyd R. Richards and Co., Fruit Growers and Apple Brokers are listed in the 1929-1930 Winchester City Directory as Boyd R. and Nelson F. Richards with address of 5-6-7 Shenandoah Valley Bank Building, Winchester, VA. Both were fruit growers and brokers. Boyd Richards was also president of C.V. Fruit Products Company and the brothers also acted as steamship agents for White Star and Star Lines.
