Scope and Content: The Millard Bushong Collection consists of a rough draft of the book Old Jube—A Bibliography of General Jubal A. Early, by Millard Bushong, author of Historic Jefferson County, as well as other history articles and books. Mr. Bushong was a faculty member at University of Richmond, Randolph-Macon College and Shepherd College.

Biographical/Historical: Millard Kessler Bushong, who spent most of his life in the Shenandoah Valley, has is a native of Jefferson County, WV. He attended the Charles Town public schools and then went to Roanoke College, from which he graduated with an A.B. degree. His graduate work was completed at West Virginia University, where he received an M.A. and Ph.D. in history. In addition, he has done postgraduate work at Columbia University.

He is married to the former Dean McKoin of Monroe, LA.
