There will be a special celebration for all rising Kindergarteners in our area, starting at 5 PM! All rising kindergarteners who can attend the event are requested to visit their local library branch to receive an invitation to be celebrated as kings and queens, as Brantley-Newton’s books are about!

Other activities include live music, a photo booth, shaved ice from Kona Ice Food Truck, signed books from Winchester Book Gallery, face painting by Face Paint with Rachel, and more.

John Huddy, Director of Handley Regional Library System, expresses his excitement for the event, stating, "We are thrilled to partner with the Shenandoah University Children's Literature Conference for our 6th Annual 'Rockin' the Library' event. It's a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and celebrate our love of reading with famous authors and illustrators."
