Join us Saturday, May 30th at the Handley branch to kick off Summer Reading for summer 2026! The Handley Regional Library System has summer reading for kids, teens, and adults, and our kick-off reflects this all-ages spirit with activities for everyone.

We're closing off the road in front of the Library and bringing you a street-festival-feel with food trucks, entertainment, and crafts - plus local authors to meet in our Writer's Row.

Unearth a Storyâ„¢

This year's theme is Unearth a Storyâ„¢ and we're celebrating with all things history, dinosaurs and dirt! This theme underscores the joy of discovery that reading brings and the stories waiting to be found and shared throughout our community. We're excited to highlight the theme this year through books, programs, and local knowledge.

Summer Reading

Throughout the months of June and July, we have summer reading programs for kids, teens, and adults! The Summer Reading Program encourages all ages to read as much as they can during the summer months.
