Important Announcement: Bowman Library Renovations

Bowman Library will be installing new carpeting from January 12–23. During this time, some services will be limited:

  • Printing will be limited
  • Only laptop computers will be available
  • Study rooms will be unavailable
  • Access to many adult materials will be limited
  • Faxing and scanning will be unavailable

These services will still be available at both Handley Library and Clarke County branches.

Event Details

Get together with other teen art lovers and “color our world” while exploring various art forms. No artistic experience or ability is required! Schedule subject to change. Ages 12-18. *Registration required. 

June 3 - Colors of Your Summer: (summer vacations, road trips, summer activities, etc.) summer collage

June 10 - Colors of Exploration: (outer space, sea, mountains, jungles, extreme places) watercolor landscapes

June 17 - Colors of the Dark: (horror, scary, unknown things, etc.) charcoal drawings

June 24 - Colors of Competition: (sports, contests, etc.) art games

July 1- Colors of Our Past: (historical fiction, history, biographies) portraits in pastels 

July 8 - Colors of Your Imagination: (fantasy, creativity, inventions) fantastical creatures in clay

July 15 - Colors of Our World: (nature, animals, outdoors, gardening) rock painting

July 22 - Cancelled  Colors of the Arts: (music, dance, movies, etc.) paper mosaics

July 29 - Colors of Friendship: friendship bracelets

August 5 - Colors of the Future: (sci-fi, technology, etc.) paper mosaics 

August 12 - (no theme) artists' choice
