Event Details

Veterans of the U.S. military are warmly invited to participate in poetry workshops at Handley Regional Library, as part of the Virginia Commonwealth’s poet laureate initiative. These free workshops offer a welcoming space for veterans to explore writing about military life—or any subject of personal interest—through poetry. All experience levels are encouraged to attend, from first-time writers to seasoned poets. Participants will receive expert guidance and support in developing their voice and expressing their stories. Sponsored by the American Academy of Poets and the Friends of HRLS.
