Duoromano has been charming classical music audiences since 1995, with musical sensitivity of the highest level, virtuosity, and a wide and varied instrumental color palette. Since it's Vacaville, California debut, Duoromano has sought to demystify the popular misconceptions of classical music through interactive and informative programs. They also promote music education through instrumental clinics at schools, colleges, and universities. 

Charlene Romano is a sought-after flutist and educator. She has broad experience as a chamber and orchestral musician on both coasts, and currently maintains an active teaching studio in Winchester. She has served on the faculties of Shenandoah Conservatory and Solano College and is the former secretary of the National Flute Association. 

John Romano (a HRLS & Friends staff member!) is the former Bass Clarinetist (ret.2016) with the United States Air Force Band. During his 24 year career, he has performed with numerous stars, entertained heads of state, and concertized in 49 states. He is currently the clarinet instructor at the Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy and continues performing and arranging music in the National Capital Region and beyond.

For this concert they have teamed up another fantastic duo from the Winchester area. 

Miho Sato de Saucedo is a singer, pianist, and board-certified music therapist who has been active both nationally and internationally. She has been connecting with people of all ages through music for over 20 years. Performance appearances include concerts at the Mexican embassy in D.C., Middleburg Concert Series, Orchard Ridge Concert Series in VA, and Apricot Concert Hall in Tokyo, Japan, among others. As a therapist, she has been practicing in the area, and currently serves on the music therapy faculty at Shenandoah University. 

Dr. Alan Saucedo has been a prize winner in several music competitions, including the Second Yokohama International Music Competition in Japan. He has appeared in recitals in Paraguay, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, and the USA; including presentations at the Smithsonian museum, the Kennedy Center, and the White House. Recent appearances include solo performances with the Grammy nominated PanAmerican Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, performances alongside celebrated pianist Brian Ganz, and a collaboration with internationally renowned singers Vanessa Williams and Renée Fleming. Dr. Saucedo enjoys making chamber music with wife Miho Sato, kids Sofia and Saúl, and sister Cynthia Saucedo. Since 2016, Dr.. Saucedo is represented in Japan by Yoshiko Miyamoto and Little Beat Entertainment.
