One-on-One Job Seeker Assistance Offered by NW Works at Handley Library

Handley Regional Library System is excited to announce a program where individuals can get one-on-one job seeker help from NW Works at Handley Library.  Held the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 11AM-12PM, the public can meet with a representative from NW Works for help searching for a job, filling out an application, making a resume, and other job search related tasks.

To get help, patrons can inquire at the Information Desk at Handley Library during the program time.  Registration is not required.  The individual job seeker program complements the online career tools the library system offers the community in their Digital Library, including career testing and exploration, resume and interviewing help, cover letter templates, and more, in addition to their many books and eBooks on this topic.

“From books, digital materials, access to the internet, online printing, and public computers, the library system has a wealth of resources for job seekers,” says John Huddy, Director of Handley Regional Library System.  “Partnering with great organizations like NW Works around this important topic allows us to both work together and use our expertise and services to invest in the communities we serve.”

“NW Works is committed to helping all people with barriers to employment to reach their full potential, not just people with disabilities,” says NW Works CEO Debera Taylor. “At a time when so many businesses are struggling to find applicants, we want to support those in our community who are seeking work. This partnership with Handley Regional Library System helps us to reach individuals who typically wouldn’t receive services from NW Works, which benefits the community as a whole.”
