We’re excited to share that Handley Library was recently featured in a segment on NBC4 Washington as part of a story about two remarkable teen authors, Emma and Juliana, and their new book Let’s Explore Winchester.
In the interview, the twin sisters discuss their affection for Winchester and their aspiration to help others discover its distinctive landmarks and rich history. One of the key places they chose to feature? Our very own Handley Library — described in the segment as a “beautiful and iconic” space in the heart of the community.
The video includes footage of the library and highlights just how important public libraries are in connecting people to history, learning, and each other.
“I'm so HAPPY they included our BEAUTIFUL library!”
– Lisa Prodywus, community member and local library advocate
This spotlight is more than just a moment on the news — it’s a testament to how young people are engaging with their local community and how Handley Regional Library continues to inspire discovery and creativity.
We are honored to have been included in this meaningful project and to be recognized as a place of inspiration for future writers, researchers, and lifelong learners.
