Get ready to participate in How-To Fest 2025!

Handley Library is inviting individuals, community organizations, and businesses to participate in our 2025 How-To Fest in September, where patrons come to learn a little about a lot. If you have knowledge to share or a cause to advocate for, this call is for you!

What is Handley Library's annual How-To Fest?

Handley's annual How-To Fest is an all-ages event where we take over all four floors of the building for a few hours to teach our patrons 'how to' do new things! Some examples of past topics include: geocaching, sewing a button, and fixing a flat bike tire. Want more examples? See last years blog!

When is How-To Fest 2025?

Our Annual How-To Fest will be on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

If I sign up, what will I be doing?

There are two main formats the How-To Fest uses: tables and programs.

Tables are set up and run for the entirety of the How-To Fest, allowing patrons to stop by anytime. Tables can be strictly informational (handing out pamphlets and answering questions about your topic) or activity-based (providing information as well as a hands-on activity).

Programs, on the other hand, are set for a specific time during the fest and can either be an informational presentation or an interactive workshop. If you have a lot of information that's difficult to share quickly at a table, this might be a better option for you.
