2024 Youth Winter Reading Challenge

2024 Winter Reading

This year's Winter Reading Challenge theme is Where We Come From, inspired by the captivating picture book, "Where We Come From," a poetic masterpiece written by John Coy, Shannon Gibney, Sun Yung Shin, and Diane Wilson. Participants will be immersed in the rich history and captivating stories of individuals, exploring themes of family, history, identity, and belonging. Through the magic of literature, readers will embark on a transformative journey that encourages self-reflection and a deeper understanding of their own personal narratives. All while earning badges on a virtual bingo card!

First, register everyone in the family for our Youth Winter Reading Challenge by creating a Beanstack account. Already have one? Log in! If you can't remember your login information, simply email beanstackhelp@handleyregional.org for assistance or ask a youth services staff to reset your password. Get the Beanstack app to make it even easier! This digital logging software allows readers to keep track of how many minutes they are reading through a timer, a book barcode scanner, and more!
