SCOPE AND CONTENT: The collection contains a group of articles concerning historic Quakers and their textiles, and information on the family history of the Lupton Family and the Pidgeon Family.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: Mary Robare was raised in New York City where she worked on Broadway and in television commercials. In 1989, she moved to Winchester, VA where she was employed at Shenandoah University as a dance instructor and choreographer. Work in the theater fostered a great appreciation in her for craft and design. This interest led to several articles on quilting, particularly as it relates to the Quaker community.
