SCOPE AND CONTENT:  This collection contains one account book kept by James H. Griffith (1812-1899) from the General Store in White Hall, Virginia.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: James H Griffith was born on February 13, 1812 to John Griffith and Mary Faulkner. He married Jane R. Lupton and died in 1899.
