SCOPE AND CONTENT: The two diaries in this collection contain a daily record of Cochran's life for the years 1935 and 1938.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: Carrie A Clevenger Cochran was born in 1872 and died in 1950. She is buried in Hopewell Cemetery, Frederick County, VA. Cochran lived at 812 S. Braddock Street, Winchester (Va) and was a member of the Society of Friends. She married Frederick A. Cochran at Hopewell Friends Meeting House.
