EXISTENCE AND LOCATION OF COPIES: The Genealogical Society of Utah digitized materials from this collection in 2007 [HD GSU 001/006-02]

SCOPE AND CONTENT: The Biser Family Papers contains genealogical materials concerning the Biser family, to include Bible records, deeds, indentures, receipts, a will, and other miscellaneous papers. Most of the materials are about the acquisition of land around Mill Creek area of Hampshire County. Of note is a warrant grant of October 1798 signed by James Wood.

BIOGRAPHICAL/HISTORICAL: The Biser family lived in Hampshire County, Virginia (now West Virginia) from 1775 until about 1883.
