Kristine Villatoro, Supervisor of Outreach at Potomac Appalachian Trail Club has long tradition of hiking beginning as a child and continuing as a parent herself. She found hiking to be a source of healing grief. She is founder and guide for the Wandering Sole Sisters - a local women's hiking group and was instrumental in the startup of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the PATC which offers the popular S-Miles program.
