Important Announcement: Bowman Library Renovations

Bowman Library will be installing new carpeting from January 12–23. During this time, some services will be limited:

  • Printing will be limited
  • Only laptop computers will be available
  • Study rooms will be unavailable
  • Access to many adult materials will be limited
  • Faxing and scanning will be unavailable

These services will still be available at both Handley Library and Clarke County branches.

Indoor Plant Clinic

Event Details

Winter is the perfect time to give your indoor plants a little love. Join the Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardeners' Indoor Plant Clinic to learn how to take care of the plants you already have and go home with FREE easy-to-grow houseplants.

Master Gardeners will present the following talks:

11:00  Susan Groom -  How to Propagate Indoor Plants

11:45 Rose Fairman -  Topiary - different plants that are adaptable to shaping

12:20 James Jones - Grow Orchids, how to keep them healthy and tips on repotting

There will also be an activity table where children can make an Imaginary Nature Creature from natural items, as well as Create a Seed Picture.

All activities are free and open to the public!
