Bowman Library will be installing new carpeting from January 12–23. During this time, some services will be limited:

  • Study rooms will be unavailable

Playaway Launchpads have launched at Handley Regional Library System!

Designed for kids of all ages, the tablets are pre-loaded with high-quality, ad-free apps that are both fun and educational, promoting literacy through digital content.  The devices are powered by an Android operating system and feature a 7” high-definition touch screen,  universal audio jack, and a durable, protective bumper.  The content collection spans subject areas from math and science to critical thinking and creativity, and features themed learning packs including animals, princesses, fantasy, nature, and more.

Borrowing Guidelines

  • 3-Week Borrowing
  • Late fee of $1.00 per day
  • 5 launchpad check outs per cardholder at a time
  • Units must be returned to the Circulation desk and not at outside returns
  • All components must be returned together and replacement costs will be applied ($180 tablet, $20 bumper, $15 case, $5 adapter, $5 USB cord)
  • Borrower agreement must be signed before device is issued to the patron
