Important Announcement: Bowman Library Renovations

Bowman Library will be installing new carpeting from January 12–23. During this time, some services will be limited:

  • Printing will be limited
  • Only laptop computers will be available
  • Study rooms will be unavailable
  • Access to many adult materials will be limited
  • Faxing and scanning will be unavailable

These services will still be available at both Handley Library and Clarke County branches.

Join the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and U.S. DoL Wage and Hour Division for a two-hour informational session on federal services that support small businesses!

 

Event Agenda:

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Overview Presentation

11:00 AM - 12:00 AM: Open Forum for Questions

 

EEOC Topics:

  • Learn how the EEOC supports small businesses and promotes workplace discrimination prevention, best practices, reasonable accommodations, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), charge filing and meditation services, outreach and training opportunities for your staff, and more!

 

DOL Topics

  • Minimum Wage, Overtime, Record-keeping, and Youth Employment under FLSA
  • Administrating leave under FMLA
  • Various laws for Agricultural Employment such as the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Protection Act (MSPA) and H-2A Visa Program
