Program Description

Event Details

Registration required for this event. Please click the calendar listing for details. Join us for a very special event following our author talk with Diane Flynt as we celebrate apple culture with a cider and cheese tasting. David Glaize of Old Town Cidery will have a selection of locally produced ciders to enjoy, while Terri Hardin of Fleur de Lis Cheese Shop will pair each cider with a carefully curated sampling of cheeses.

The event takes place in the West Reading Room and Esplanade of the Handley Library. There will be three tastings from 7:10 pm to 7:40 pm, 7:50 pm to 8:20 pm, and 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

The event is open to adults only and registration is required to attend. All attendees must be 21 years old or older and everyone must show photo ID before being admitted to a tasting.

To register, select a time from the list below and fill out the registration form. An individual registration form must be completed for each participant. There are 30 slots available for each tasting and each participant may only register for one tasting

Cider and Cheese Tasting 1: 7:10 pm to 7:40 pm: CLICK HERE TO REGISTER   NO SPOTS AVAILABLE

Cider and Cheese Tasting 2: 7:50 pm to 8:20 pm: CLICK HERE TO REGISTER   2 spots available

What can you do between the author talk and a later tasting event?  Great question!  The staff will be conducting tours of the historic library building.  Come walk on the glass floors and climb the “hidden staircase.”  Registration for the tour is not required, and tours will be leaving from the East Reading Room at 7:15 pm and again at 8:00 pm.
