Bowman Library will be installing new carpeting from January 12–23. During this time, some services will be limited:

  • Printing will be limited
  • Only laptop computers will be available
  • Study rooms will be unavailable
  • Access to many adult materials will be limited
  • Faxing and scanning will be unavailable

These services will still be available at both Handley Library and Clarke County branches.

Drummer Uncle Devin leads everyone in celebrating a summer of reading.

Born in Washington, DC and raised in nearby Seat Pleasant, MD Uncle Devin was heavily influenced by the rhythms of the official music of DC, Go-Go, as well as Jazz, Bossa Nova and conscious Hip Hop. He says, "he took over his brother's drum set at an early age and never looked back."

The Uncle Devin Show® is an interactive musical experience, taking children on a magical journey through the land of percussion. Driven by the desire to use his gifts to inspire children, Uncle Devin's purpose is to ensure a more loving, peaceful, and equitable world for all.

He is also the creator of Watoto Entertainment & Education or WEE Nation Radio, a 24/7 online music radio program for children providing age-appropriate family music in R&B, Jazz World Music and more.
