This Tai Chi workshop is all about balance!

We'll take a look at:
~ what in the world our proprioception and vestibular systems are.
~ general activities we can do to help support and strengthen those systems.

Then, we'll get to the good stuff...
~ we'll see how tai chi is perfectly suited as a low-impact way to build balance and overall strength and stability.
~ we'll learn several standing tai chi postures/movements that can help increase balance - we'll explore how to keep the proprioception system relaxed and happy as we work on building that physical balance over time.
~ we'll learn a slow, mindful way of Qigong-style walking grounded in principles that can be carried through for everyday life.

This workshop will be partly seated, partly standing, and entirely supported. Modifications can be made to make this workshop appropriate for almost all mobility levels.

The workshop will be presented by Adrian VanKeuren of MoveMentation, with special guest speaker Dr. Lyle Wilson, also of MoveMentation.
