Program Description

Event Details

The Handley Regional Library’s Memory Cart provides equipment and software for members of the public to digitize VHS tapes, CDs, DVDs, Super 8- and 8-mm film, slides, negatives, and photographs. The equipment and software are designed for ease of use so patrons can easily digitize and save their family memories. The Memory Cart is located at the Bowman Library and operates by appointment during regular library hours.

Memory Cart volunteers assist the public with using the Memory Cart equipment and software. This includes explaining policies regarding use of equipment, showing patrons how to load media, how to use reformatting software, and how to save digital files to storage devices.

Those interested in volunteering with the Memory Cart are welcome to attend this training session. If you are interested in volunteering but are unable to attend this session, please contact Lorna Loring, Archives Manager, at lloring@handleyregional.org
