Important Announcement: Bowman Library Renovations

Bowman Library will be installing new carpeting from January 12–23. During this time, some services will be limited:

  • Printing will be limited
  • Only laptop computers will be available
  • Study rooms will be unavailable
  • Access to many adult materials will be limited
  • Faxing and scanning will be unavailable

These services will still be available at both Handley Library and Clarke County branches.

Friends of Handley Regional Library System members can shop the book sale before it's open to the public. Not a member or need to renew your membership? Please take care of this online before coming to member night by clicking here

Current Friends members will receive a postcard in your mail or email with details. Numbers will be handed out in the lobby at Bowman Library starting at 3pm (this is a change from years past).

Event Schedule:

4-5 PM Friends Members-no book dealers or scanners allowed-this will be strictly enforced!

5-7 PM All other Friends Members

Book prices will range from $1-$2, with some special items costing $5 or more. Many items are sorted into categories for shoppers to look through. There will be children's books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, fiction, nonfiction and paperback books. Payment is by cash, check or credit card. Bring a box or bag to carry your treasures! All proceeds benefit HRLS and staff.
