Garrett Morgan--invented the traffic light, a smoke hood and protective gas mask for fire fighters.

Lonnie Johnson--USAF & NASA, invented the Super-Soaker

Dr. George Grant--dentist, invented the golf tee

Dorothy Vaughn--mathematician, first African American manager at NASA

Mary Jackson--engineer at NASA researching spacecraft

Katherine Johnson--mathematician working on the Space Shuttle
