Have you been wanting to hike the Appalachian Trail, but don't know how to get started?

In 2022 Matthew Bernstein hiked the entirety of the Appalachian Trail, using the library's AT Thru-Hikers Companion book for part of the trip planning. In this "How-To" presentation, Matt will share some planning tips for backpacking trips and also highlight some memorable places.

He will also bring along his hiking gear from the trip and will answer any questions about backpacking equipment for hiking the AT or overnight backpacking trips.

No registration required.
