Important Announcement: Bowman Library Renovations

Bowman Library will be installing new carpeting from January 12–23. During this time, some services will be limited:

  • Printing will be limited
  • Only laptop computers will be available
  • Study rooms will be unavailable
  • Access to many adult materials will be limited
  • Faxing and scanning will be unavailable

These services will still be available at both Handley Library and Clarke County branches.

It's a Celebration of Birds!

Join the Handley Regional Library System & Northern Shenandoah Valley Audubon Society (NSVAS) for a celebration of Birds at the Bowman Library. Learn about the Great Backyard Bird Count and other ways to appreciate our feathered friends. 

  • Members of NSVAS will lead a morning and afternoon bird walk around the library lake at 10:30AM & 2:30PM
  • Film Screening of NOVA's Bird Brain at 11:45AM (60 minutes)
  • American Kestrel Nest Box Project Presentation 1:15PM
  • Conservation Happy Hour 3:30PM-4:30PM
