Join us after hours for a look into the archives! Each Archives After Hours event will feature a topic concerning items in the archives, how to use them, and how they may help you in your research.  

This installment of Archives After Hours will explore the Macky-Dunbar Account Book. It concerns the medical practice of Doctors Robert Macky and Robert Dunbar. The book contains records of treatment and the sale of medicines to patients between the years 1796 to 1814, mainly in the Winchester-Frederick County area. It is a valuable source for information about people living in the area, as well as for the history of medicine in Virginia at the turn of the nineteenth century.
