The Adventure Heads North…
Our intrepid heroes Brook Mark and Cliff Hanger continue on their quest to find the Lost Library of Atlantis. But it gets a bit chilly as they follow the clues (and a pod of whales!) to the arctic where they gather enough information to solve more ocean riddles. On their return, they get stuck in The Great Pacific Garbage Patch where they learn things that we all can do to help keep the ocean clean and safe. Meanwhile back at the lighthouse, Kenny is still desperately trying to catch Shelldon the Tale Snail while Page shares a story about sea otters and a selfish shellfish that proves we all need each “otter”.
Using one old sock and some new imagination, an eight-legged puppet comes to life. This craft is good for the “sole”. (Wow, did we just make a fish and sock joke at the same time?)
Brothers Jarrett Pumphrey & Jerome Pumphrey, discuss their evocative picture book titled “The Old Boat”, a follow up to their popular book “The Old Truck”. “The Old Boat” celebrates both family and the ocean as it addresses the need to protect the sea. They discuss what inspired the creation of their books and share an awesome illustration technique that kids can do at home.
Create a work of art that tastes as good as it looks and it looks great! This tempting treat is part recipe and part art project.
Join Page Turner as she visits with Chelsea Bennice aka Octo-girl, one of the world’s preeminent experts on octopuses. Chelsea introduces some of her eight-legged friends and tells us fascinating facts about these amazing animals.
