Handley Regional Library System Weekly Media Brief:  May 3 – May 8

Winchester, VA (May 3, 2021) – Handley Regional Library System announces the following weekly updates and programs to the community:

Book Donation Drop at Bowman Library on May 8th 9AM-12PM

Handley Regional Library System and the Friends of Handley Regional Library System announce the long-awaited book donation drop-off at Bowman Library.  Books, (in good condition) DVDs, CDs, electronic games, and sheet music will be accepted.  We cannot accept VHS, cassette tapes, or Reader's Digest books.  Donations will become part of the Used Book Sale at Bowman Library May 17 through May 22, 2021.

Adult Online Game Night with the Library on May 8th at 6PM

Handley Regional Library System invites adults 18+ to spend Saturday night with library staff playing online tabletop games on Discord.  We will have a wide selection of games to choose from on BoardGameArena.com and both voice and text chat channels open throughout. Discord and Board Game Arena accounts aren't necessary to join us, but both are free if you choose to make one.  Email afoote@handleyregional.org for questions.  This program series is sponsored by iHeart Media.   This is a virtual program with registration at https://www.handleyregional.org/maygamenight

Community Resource Spotlight:  Learn a New Language with Mango Languages

Mango Languages is an online language learning tool that offers courses in Spanish, Polish, English, Mandarin, and over 70 other languages.   You can access this for free with your library card in our Digital Library at www.handleyregional.org.
