Third Thursday, Exploring the Outdoors Hiking Series

Handley Regional Library System and the Friends of the Handley Regional Library System announce the next virtual outdoors hiking series that will focus on Climbing to New Heights with Arthur Kearns.  Kearns will share his hiking experience, the impact hiking has made on his life, and how the local community can enjoy local hiking.  This program is on Thursday, March 18th at 6:30PM.

Arthur is the owner of Seneca Rocks Climbing School and the Gendarme Climbing Shop at Seneca Rocks, WV. He began climbing in 1976 and became a teacher of climbing at Great Falls National Park outside of Washington DC in 1988. He currently has Rock Instructor certification from the American Mountain Guides Association.

This series is hosted by Susan Tschirhart – hiker, camper, and nature nerd - and sponsored by Mountain Trails in Winchester.

This is a virtual program with registration required on Zoom at https://www.handleyregional.org/exploringoutdoors3
