Teen Book Award Season Is Here!!

Every year the American Library Association (ALA) chooses the best teen books of the year and it is time to find out the winners for 2020!  This year it is happening on Monday, January 27th at 8:00am.  We are especially excited to find out the winners of the Printz, Morris, and Edwards awards!

The Printz award celebrates the best book written for young adults while the Morris Award focuses on the best young adult book by a debut author.  The Edwards Award is slightly different as it is presented to an author who has made a great contribution to young adult literature over the course of their career.

If you are interested in reading any of the previous winners, search the library catalog using these hashtags to find your next book: #printzawardwinner and #morrisawardwinner

More information about these awards and others as well as the livestream of the announcements can be found at: http://www.ala.org/news/mediapresscenter/presskits/youthmediaawards/alayouthmediaawards

My pick for the Printz Award is Frankly In Love by David Yoon so fingers crossed!  We will be posting the winners as well as the honor selections on Monday so be sure to check back then to see if your favorite won.
