Need recommendations for your elementary age summer reader? You've come to the right place!

Each week this summer has a new theme with a selection of books and other materials to enjoy. You can place a hold on your favorite and pick up at a local branch. Select titles will also be on display in the Children's Room at Bowman Library. 

June 6th through the 12th

Oceans of Possibilities: Kick off the summer reading challenge with books about life at sea and exploring life's possibilities. #oopossibilities 

June 13th through the 19th

Oceans of Friends: Friendships bring excitement and challenges that can be both fun and tough to navigate. These books are all about friends and the adventures they have together. #oofriends

June 20th through the 26th

Oceans of Boats: Find your sea legs with these nautical adventures. Climb aboard and set sail! #ooboats

June 27th through July 3rd

Oceans of Merpeople: Read about the lives and adventures of mermaids and mermen under the sea. #oomerpeople

July 4th through the 10th

Oceans of Lighthouses: The mystery of lighthouses can be a thrilling adventure! Get yourself safely to shore with a book about lighthouses. #oolighthouses

July 11th through the 17th

Oceans of Sharks: Watch out for a shark attack! Stay on the edge of your seat with these books about sharks. #oosharks

July 18th through the 24th

Oceans of Pirates: Ahoy matey! Join the swashbuckling pirates in these titles as they travel across the sea. #oopirates

July 25th through the 31st

Oceans of Seashells: Go for a walk on the beach and collect a variety of seashells. These titles have a wide selection of shells to choose from! #ooseashells

August 1st through the 7th

Oceans of Fish: Learn about fish and what they like to do. Swim on over to one of these titles about fish. #oofish
