Kid Crafternoons - 1st Saturdays at 3PM on the Children’s Floor
Get your creativity flowing as we make a new craft inspired by a famous artist. This program focuses on art, but history and STEAM topics are also covered. Participants will get a Grab-and-Go kit with craft instructions and extension activities on the artist and new skill we learned. No registration is required for this program.
Story Builders - 2nd Saturdays at 3PM on the Children’s Floor
Listen to a story and complete a STEAM challenge inspired by the book. Past months have focused on fun activities, like coding or hydroponics. Grab-and-Go kits contain the instructions and necessary materials to complete the challenge. No registration is required for this program.
Kid’s Kitchen - 3rd Saturdays at 3PM in the Lower Level Benham Gallery
Learn about food safety, preparation, and how to use a recipe as you gain confidence in the kitchen. Each month’s recipe centers around a theme and a skill, such as measuring or safe knife skills. Grab-and-Go kits for this program include a related recipe to practice your new cooking knowledge at home. Registration is required for this program.
Games Galore - 4th Saturdays at 3PM on the Children’s Floor
Get your game on as we explore new games based on a monthly theme and hone our library skills! This program features games of all kinds, from traditional card and board games to activities like scavenger hunts and MadLibs. Participants will get a Grab-and-Go kit with extension activities to bring the gaming fun home. No registration is required for this program.
