Finding your German Roots

Posted on:

Guten Tag!  Stewart Bell Jr. Archives at the Handley Library is happy to be offering an introduction on how to research German ancestry.  Do you have German in your background?  Have you been putting off exploring your history further or have you hit a wall in your research?  Well, come to our German Genealogy: Joys and Frustrations event on Saturday, November 11 at 10:30 am in the Benham Gallery of the Handley Library.  Our presenter, Anne Bacon, has been researching her own German heritage for over 15 years.  She will share with you the tips and tricks she has learned, as well as the frustrations and roadblocks she has experienced in her research.

This event is open to anyone with an interest in researching German roots.  Registration for this event is required.  Click here to register and find out more information about the event.  If you have any additional questions, please contact the Archives Department by email at or call (540) 662-9041 ext. 17.
