We have several tour options available for you during normal operating hours. 

Self-Guided Tour at Handley Library

Self-Guided Art Tour at Handley Library

Discover the artwork, photographs, and sculptures, through the historical library!  Some of the works of art it contains were commissioned for the library itself; others are gifts from generous citizens.

History/Architecture tours of Handley Library are now offered on the first Wednesday (6:30 p.m.) and third Saturday (1:00 p.m.).  The 45-minute tours, led by volunteers and staff members, feature glass floors and the well beneath the stage and other behind-the-scenes areas. Tours are free; no reservations required. For larger group tours, call 540 662-9041, ext. 11 for a reservation.

Learn how to use your local library - tours for schools, youth groups, and more.  These are available at any of our three libraries are given based upon the availability of library staff, during regular library hours and run about 20-30 minutes.  must be made at least two weeks in advance.  Please contact your local branch for times and availability.
