Important Announcement: Bowman Library Renovations

Bowman Library will be installing new carpeting from January 12–23. During this time, some services will be limited:

  • Printing will be limited
  • Only laptop computers will be available
  • Study rooms will be unavailable
  • Access to many adult materials will be limited
  • Faxing and scanning will be unavailable

These services will still be available at both Handley Library and Clarke County branches.

Event Details

In this two hour workshop presented by Archives Manager Lorna Loring, you will learn best practices for organizing, preserving and storing family documents, photographs, scrapbooks, objects, and memorabilia. It will include information about mitigating environmental and climate hazards and how to choose the best housing to keep your family's history preserved for future generations.

Registration is limited to 10 participants and each participant will receive an archival quality storage box to take home for their family's collection.  The workshop concludes with a tour of the Archives.
