Important Announcement: Bowman Library Renovations

Bowman Library will be installing new carpeting from January 12–23. During this time, some services will be limited:

  • Printing will be limited
  • Only laptop computers will be available
  • Study rooms will be unavailable
  • Access to many adult materials will be limited
  • Faxing and scanning will be unavailable

These services will still be available at both Handley Library and Clarke County branches.

Are you ready for a FUN challenge? Come be a part of Bowman Library's 3rd Jigsaw Puzzle Tournament!

11AM - 5PM

Teams of 2-4 people compete to finish the same 1,000 piece puzzle in the least amount of time. The winning team gets a medal and all the bragging rights of being the first team to complete the puzzle.

Here is how it works:

  1. Form a team of 2-4 players. Each team must include at least one adult.
  2. Only one person needs to make the reservation for your team.
  3. Create a team name.
  4. Registration opens on April 28 . You can register online, in person, or by phone at 540-869-9000 ext. 203 to register with a staff person. Space is limited to 10 teams, so register early!
  5.  Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the event to get any last minute instructions.
  6. If you need to cancel your registration, please contact us to allow space for other teams from the waiting list.

**NEW** Swap a Puzzle! We are asking any participants that want to swap a jigsaw puzzle to bring one so you can take one! Also, the library happily accepts donated puzzles for our ongoing puzzle table located in the library.
