Proclamation for National Library Week

The City of Winchester has issued an official proclamation acknowledging National Library Week and the critical value Handley Regional Library System delivers to residents in Winchester, Frederick County, and Clarke County.

“Handley Regional Library System has a mission to provide fair and equal access to outstanding information, resources, programs and services to enrich our diverse community,” says John Huddy, director of the library system.  “Our goal has always been to be a resource to the community.  This means we have to go beyond the traditional view of being ‘just’ about books, and looking at ways to create life-long connections to information and entertainment.”
