Book Spotlight Videos Launch Online for Kids and Teens to Promote Reading

To connect with kids and teens virtually, the library staff at Handley Regional Library System announces a new series of online videos featuring book recommendations and activities for kids, teens, and families.  The book spotlight videos premiere weekly on Mondays and are presented by library staff through an interactive format to develop and enhance core literacy and learning skills.  The schedule is below with videos available on Facebook at www.facebook.com/handleyregional and the library system’s YouTube page.

  • Ready to Read this Week, Mondays at 11AM
  • Middle Grade Book Spotlight, Mondays at 12PM
  • Teen Book Spotlight, Mondays at 1PM

“We are excited to launch this new series to the community,” says Donna Hughes, Youth Services Division Head for Handley Regional Library System.  “We’ve already received a lot of great feedback.  We know we don’t get to see our patrons as much in-person right now, so this online series allows us to stay in contact and reach a new audience virtually.”
