New Adult Language Learning Workshop Coming to Bowman Library

We are helping patrons learn a new language with a special workshop on May 23rd at 6PM at Bowman Library. The program, Mango Languages Workshop, will show attendees how to use the free Mango Languages app available in the 24/7 digital library on the library system’s website. The app has over 70 different language courses – from Arabic to Yiddish  - where you can learn online through interactive tutorials focused on culture, introductions,  lifestyle, and more. Free and open the public, attendees can register online at www.handleyregional.org/adults.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their smartphone, tablets, or other mobile devices to download the app and follow along in real-time.

“Mango Languages is a terrific way to help learn a new language through the library system,” says John Huddy, Director of Handley Regional Library System. “In addition to this program, we have several resources available including DVDs , CDs, and books to aid in your linguistic journey. We also have a great blog post on our website called ‘5 Ways the Library Can Help You Learn a Language’  where you can learn more about all of this.”
