Independent Publisher awarded a 2013 IPPY award for Handley Regional Library The First One Hundred Years, it was announced on May 7. The library's centennial book won a silver medal for Best Non-Fiction in the Mid-Atlantic region. The "IPPY" Awards, launched in 1996, are designed to bring increased recognition to the deserving but often unsung titles published by independent authors and publishers, according to Independent Publisher's website.
